Chuvash potato balls

peel, rinse, and grate the raw potatoes quickly (so as not to darken). then lightly squeeze the juice and put in the dishes in the potato mass, pour in the sifted wheat flour, put the eggs, salt and stir thoroughly. divide the resulting mass into round cakes, put minced meat on the middle of each. to make minced meat, cut pork lard (or speck) into small cubes, add finely chopped onions, black ground peppers, salt and mix thoroughly. wrap the edges of the cakes so that the balls are obtained. they need to be boiled for 15 - 20 minutes in salted boiling water with laurel leaf. put the finished products on a sieve, let drain the water and brown in the oven or fry in oil.
