Emerald city salad




Cut onions and peppers into thin rings, cut tomatoes, cucumbers and apples into thin circles (or segments if the vegetables are large). It is desirable that all slices be about the same size. Put everything in a saucepan, salt, pepper, mix carefully. Mix mayonnaise with finely chopped greens and pour over the salad. Let stand to soak and put on a very low heat for 30 minutes. Put in a salad bowl, cool and serve.
