Mackerel in onion sauce (maquereaux ai sauce oignon)

Roll mackerel fillet, sardine or horse mackerel in flour mixed with salt and pepper. Melt butter in a pan and fry onions in it. Put the fish in the pan and fry each side of it for 10 minutes. Pour in the water, cover the pan with a lid and keep on a low heat for another 5 minutes. Sprinkle the parsley over the fish and serve.
