Herring "olympic"

If the herring is very salty, soak it in milk or tea beforehand. Separate the flesh from the bones, cut into small even pieces and put in herring. Cook the potatoes and egg, finely chop them and put this side dish on either side of the herring, and top the herring with the chipped onions. Garnish the herring also with cucumber rounds, finely chopped parsley greens and spring onions. Serve the herring in a saucepan with mayonnaise mixed with sour cream.
