A little mixture of broth and gelatin is poured into a plate (see previous recipe) and allowed to freeze. Slices of tongue are placed on top of one row. Around the edges are circles of eggs and strips cut from carrots. The tongue is decorated with rings of pepper and cucumber and poured with cold broth.
