Home-cooked roast

Beef (back) - 500 g, or pork (shoulder blade, neck) - 500 g, Potatoes - 750-800 g, Onions - 100 g (1 pc.), Salo - 50 g, Broth or water - 300-400 ml, Tomato puree - 60 g, Vegetable oil 2-4 tbsp. spoons, Greens for decoration - 0.5 bunch of pureeHow to make a roast at home? First we will prepare the ingredients.
The meat is washed and dried. Cut meat into 2-3 pieces per serving (weighing 30-40 g)
The lard is finely chopped.
The potatoes are peeled, diced and folded into a bowl or saucepan.
The onions are peeled and cut into wedges.
Oil is heated in a pan (2 tbsp per serving). The meat is fried to form a ruddy crust (3-4 minutes).
The meat is then turned over and fried on the other side (also 3-4 minutes).
The second pan is heated. In a preheated dry pan, the lard is fried (1-2 minutes).
The potatoes are dried and placed in a frying pan to the salu. Fry on all sides until golden (10-15 minutes).
The meat is put in a saucepan (or Kazan) in layers mixed with fried potatoes and onions, cut into wedges.
It is better if there is a layer of potatoes on top.
One adds tomato puree, bay leaf, salt and pepper. You can also cook roasts at home without tomato.
Fill with broth or water so that the products are covered with it. They simmer until tender (30-40 minutes).
25-35 minutes after the start of the simmer, the greens are washed and chopped.
The ready-made roast is sprinkled with chopped greens at home.
A home-cooked roast is served in a deep serving dish or on a flat serving plate.
