Apples baked with syrup

Remove the core from 12 large apples, place them on a deep platter, fill with syrup cooked from 2 cups of water and
1. 5 cups of sugar. With the same syrup, pour all the apples, let them gradually bake in the oven. Serve hot or cold with cream (or milk).
