Prince charles pears

Pears peel, cut out the middle with seeds, leave the tails. Peel the orange, squeeze the juice. Pour water into a shallow saucepan, put on a low heat, stirring to dissolve the sugar, put the orange peel, pour in the orange juice. When the sugar dissolves, increase the heat, bring to the boil, put pears, reduce the heat and cook under the lid, without bringing to the boil, about 40 minutes. Pears should become soft, but maintain their shape and elasticity, do not boil. Put the pears on a plate, remove the orange peel, cut half into thin strips. Mix the cornstarch with the liqueur until smooth, pour into the syrup and bring to a boil over a low heat, stirring continuously. The syrup should be thick and clear. Pour syrup over the pears and sprinkle with strips of orange peel. Serve with cream.
