Prunes with nuts

1 serving

The walnuts are carefully divided by a knife into halves and the kernels removed. One of the regular listeners of my lectures presented me with his own device for extracting the core from the shells. This is a kind of small bed with a ring into which a screw with a cup at the end is inserted. The depression made in the cup covers the nut laid on the bottom of the bed: the turn of the screw - and the shells split, the core remains intact. Bake the peeled nuts in a stove, but carefully make sure that they do not burn out, but become slightly more fragile and acquire the corresponding aroma. Carefully divide the nuts into quarters and put each of them instead of a bone in prunes. It makes no sense to cook prunes or soften them for steam: the soft part of the fruit should keep its shape. You can cook stuffed prunes only if the bone is freely removed from the fruit. The delicacy thus prepared is worthy of taking a place in a box of chocolates. No matter how discerning your guests, such a treat will be received favorably.

walnut - 20 pcs., prunes - 400 g
