How to make jelly from Hercules or other oats: Pour flakes into a stainless pot (or ceramic utensils).
Then pour in warm water.
Add a slice of bread to the flakes, cover the dishes with a towel and put in a warm place for 1-2 days.
After that, strain the liquid through a fine sieve or gauze and add 2 more cups of water (oatmeal husks and bread crust will remain on the gauze).
Salt the liquid and, stirring with a wooden spoon, heat the jelly from the oatmeal until it is clouded.
Pour hot jelly into small bowls. Oatmeal jelly is ready!
Oatmeal jelly can be served hot with butter or cold (then thickened like jelly) with milk. Enjoy your meal!
