Mozzarella cheese

Mozzarella cheese...

Many of us first got acquainted with mozzarella cheese thanks to Italian pizzerias - after all, without this fermented milk product, classic pizza simply turns into a rather mediocre tortilla with a filling. However, it is worth noting that when preparing this dish, as a rule, a fresh version of mozzarella cheese based on cow's milk is used. In addition, there are other varieties of this cheese, for example, smoked "Mozzarella affumicata" or "Mozzarella di Bufala" from buffalo milk. The calorie content of mozzarella cheese is 280 kcal.

After a thorough analysis of some historical documents, scientists have found that in Italy mozzarella cheese was known as early as the 12th century, and the first mention of it is associated with the monastery of San Lorenzo. It was there that the monks prepared a dish called "Mozza, " which the guests were treated to. A little later, several types of this cheese appeared on sale at once, and not the classic version of this product was especially popular, but smoked. Since the 18th century, mozzarella cheese, which is familiar to us, has been made on an industrial scale.

Interestingly, depending on the shape, mozzarella cheese can be called differently. So, the pigtails of this soft cheese are called "Traccia, " large roundels are called "Bocconchini, " while balls that resemble cherries in size are called "Chilegini, " but very miniature peas are called "Perlini. "

Mozzarella cheese, which can be purchased in salt solution, is especially tasty fresh - it is added to salads. For pies and pizza, you need to choose a special type of this fermented milk product, the so-called "pizza cheese" - it goes on sale in a vacuum bag without serum.

Italians, who not only invented, but also really appreciate the useful properties of mozzarella cheese, use it in various combinations, which are sometimes even a little unusual for us. For example, along with olives, ham and white dry wine, this delicate cheese is eaten along with all kinds of berries and sweet vermouth. A combination of fresh mozzarella with tomatoes, eggplant and basil is considered ideal.

Mozzarella cheese composition

The composition of mozzarella cheese is not much different from that of other dairy products. So, it contains a lot of vital minerals and vitamins, which are simply necessary for the normal operation of the human body.

In addition, saturated fatty acids, which are also present in large quantities in the composition of mozzalella cheese, have a positive effect on the appearance of a person, in particular, the condition of hair, nails and skin.

The benefits of mozzarella cheese

The benefits of mozzarella cheese, like other dairy products, are obvious to human health. So, for example, due to the high content of phosphorus and calcium, it is recommended for nutrition for children after 3 years, as well as pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.

In addition, the benefits of mozzalella cheese are undoubted for supporters of dietary products, since its nutritional value does not pose a threat to a slender figure, and the protein content is enough to maintain a normal balance of life.
