Brynza cheese is made mainly from pasteurized sheep's milk, which is often mixed with cow, buffalo or goat's milk. Referring to brine cheeses, the taste and smell of brynza can be described as fermented milk. It resembles ordinary cottage cheese in color, and Greek feta cheese is moderately dense in structure.

The high taste and healthy properties of brynza have long been appreciated by the culinary staff of Ukrainian, Balkan, Moldavian and Romanian cuisine, where it is an important component of traditional national dishes. As an ingredient in some vegetable dishes, brynzu cheese is used as a filling for pies and dumplings, served with soups and meat dishes, as well as tea. Often this product acts as a snack.

The most characteristic side dishes include aubergine, fried onions, wheat bread, garlic and potatoes. For example, mamalyga is recognized as the most popular dish in the Carpathians, which is seasoned with grated sprinting and fried onions with squashes. By the way, the famous Brynza Festival is held in Rakhov every autumn.

In Bulgarian cuisine, it is prepared in a special way: brynza cheese is sprinkled with red ground pepper, a little butter is added, and then it is tightly wrapped in parchment and baked in the oven. The dish prepared in this way has a pleasant aroma and a very juicy tender taste.

It is advised to store the started cheese brynza in its "native" brine for two and a half weeks. If you have forgotten and drained the liquid, do not be upset - wrap the brynza tightly in cling film or foil, so it will remain for about a week and a half. The calorie content of brynza is 262 kcal per 100 grams.

Benefits of brynza

The benefits of brynza for humans are not unreasonable, because this type of cheese has many vital minerals and vitamins in its composition, such as iron, sodium, magnesium, sulfur and potassium. In addition, vitamins of group B are also present in it, as well as beta-carotene. Regular consumption of this valuable product is very beneficial for skin health and for the human body as a whole.

Due to the large amount of calcium that is contained in an easily digestible form, the benefits of bryoza are obvious for preserving the bone system and teeth. In addition, this fermented milk product facilitates digestion and suppresses the development of harmful bacteria in the intestines.

Harms of brynza

The harm of brynza lies in the presence of a considerable amount of sodium, in connection with which this cheese is contraindicated in diseases of the kidneys, circulatory organs, liver, pancreas and biliary tract. Salinity can be slightly reduced if you hold the bryn for a few minutes in boiling water.
