Canned cheese

Canned cheese...

We think it is quite difficult to find a person who did not like at least one kind of cheese. Such a product as cheese has been familiar to humanity since time immemorial. Researchers classify cheese as a group of food products that appeared long before the advent of writing. Scientists believe that a person's acquaintance with cheese began due to chance.

At the dawn of their existence, people kept milk of domestic animal species in the stomach or, so-called rennet of pets. In those distant times, they simply did not realize the existence of a rennet enzyme that triggers the natural fermentation process of milk. Until now, scientists are trying to find an answer to the question of where the cheese was first made?

There are a huge number of versions that indicate that cheeses were made in modern Europe, as well as in the Middle East, Central Asia and even in the Sahara, now the largest desert on Earth. However, during archaeological excavations in the territory of modern Poland, items of kitchen utensils were found that reliably indicate that cheeses were made in this region for 5500 years BC.

At all times, cheeses were valued not only for their distinctive taste, as well as nutritional properties. Already in the Ancient World, people knew about the unique beneficial properties of cheeses and actively used products in the treatment of certain types of diseases. In the territory of Russia before Peter I, cheeses were made naturally without the use of heat treatment.

The great reformer Peter, among other things, decided to instill a love for European cheese varieties. As the history of the development of Russian cheese making showed, the tsar managed to cope with the task. Currently, there is simply a myriad of diverse varieties of cheeses, among which the following most popular and widespread can be distinguished:

rennet cheeses;

hard and soft cheeses;

brine cheese;

whey cheese;

fermented milk cheese;

cheeses with mold;

smoked cheese;

melted cheese;

canned cheese.
