Bound tea is considered the privilege of real connoisseurs and aesthetes, and the product costs a lot of money. Bound teas are made from young shoots of tea trees. According to the classic recipe, bound teas are produced from green types of tea. However, currently black, yellow or red bound tea can be found on sale. The use of non-fermented green tea is due to the fact that it is much easier for such tea leaves to give the desired shape than brittle and dry.
