Soy paper

Soy paper...

In the modern gastronomic world, more and more new products appear every year, which over time begin to enjoy increased demand and popularity. So, among the whole variety of these culinary innovations, a special place is occupied by products that belong to traditional Japanese cuisine. And these are not only unusual for many of our compatriots nori algae, but also rice and soy paper.

In fact, soy paper is a byproduct in the production of soy milk. In other words, soy paper is made from foam, which is called yuba. It is dried and then used in the preparation of a wide variety of dishes.

Externally, soy paper looks like the thinnest flat plates, usually square in shape. Interestingly, unlike rice paper, which is transparent and has no color, soy paper can be painted in a variety of shades. For example, today you can easily purchase soy paper in pink, yellow, green, red, orange. Basically, the packaging of soybean paper contains 20 sheets, which in addition to soybeans include rice, salt, starch, sunflower oil and water.

Soy paper can be used to make different types of rolls and sushi. By the way, it is often perfectly ordinary nori leaves, which, by the way, have the ability to give ready-made meals a rather specific iodide taste. In addition, the distinctive property of soy paper is that it perfectly absorbs the tastes of the component products that are included in the dish.

Despite the fact that the taste of soy paper is itself rather weak, this product has a lot of useful properties. First of all, soy foods are mostly composed of proteins, so soy paper can be a great ingredient in vegetarian diets. In addition, in the composition of soybean-based products (including in soybean paper) there are phospholipids, fatty acids that contribute to the purification and improvement of the liver.

The benefits of soybean paper have been proven due to the presence of isoflavones in its composition, which help in the fight against malignant cells, as well as tocopherols that increase immunity and significantly slow down human aging processes.

Soy paper, as a derivative of useful soy, is sometimes indispensable for the prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus, since the substances that make up it help the production of insulin. Soy-based products and animal protein allergies become vital. It is recommended to be used for diatheses, hepatitis, peptic ulcers, anemia, psoriasis and intestinal disorders.
