Safflower oil

Safflower oil...

The unique beneficial properties of safflower oil have been known and used by humanity since ancient times. Safflower oil belongs to the group of vegetable oils. Safflower oil is obtained by processing Safflower dye seeds or Carthamus tinctorius. The appearance of safflower oil is not much different from other varieties of vegetable oils. However, safflower oil differs in its weak taste and lighter color in comparison with other oils obtained from plant material. As with most vegetable oils, there are two main subspecies of safflower oil.

Safflower food oil is consumed and produced from pre-processed cleaning and treatment of dye safflower seeds. Non-food or cosmetic safflower oil is obtained by processing raw seeds of the plant. Non-edible safflower oil is used in the process of producing paints, olifa, and in addition, in the manufacture of soap, as well as other cosmetics. The unique benefit of safflower oil lies in the chemical composition of the food.

The benefits of safflower oil

As a result of scientific research, it was found that the chemical composition of safflower oil contains a record amount of gamma-tocotrienol in comparison with other types of vegetable oils, i. e. a compound that is referred to as useful varieties of vitamin E. However, on the other hand, the composition of safflower oil completely lacks an equally important compound squalene. In order to maintain all the benefits, safflower oil is produced by cold pressing. However, safflower oil produced by pressing or extraction exists in the food industry.

The above types of safflower oil differ not only in the method of obtaining or color of the finished product, but also in the vitamin and mineral composition of vegetable oil. For example, the composition of safflower oil obtained by cold pressing contains a much larger amount of vitamin E, as well as K. It is not surprising that the benefits of such safflower oil for the human body will be much greater than from a product obtained by less gentle methods. Safflower oil is actively used in medical, and in addition to dietary purposes.

For example, with obesity or overweight, safflower oil helps to normalize the metabolic and digestive processes that occur in the human body. The linoleic acid contained in safflower oil favorably affects the human body as a whole, and in addition helps in the prevention and treatment of diseases of the cardiovascular system. Safflower oil is used not only as a food or medicine. This type of vegetable oil is actively used in the production of cosmetic products for skin care, as well as hair.

It is not unreasonably believed that safflower oil is able to help in the treatment of some severe dermatological diseases. Safflower oil is able to penetrate deep layers of the skin and saturate cells with the necessary useful compounds of natural origin. For this reason, safflower oil is the main component of expensive anti-aging cosmetics.
