Peppermint is a popular medicinal plant beloved by many, which is gladly used not only by adherents of unconventional types of medicine, but also simply by connoisseurs of the indescribable taste and pleasant aroma of this fragrant herb. For the production of a variety of medicines, as well as for culinary needs, both fresh and dried mint leaves are used.
Today, a lot of options and ways to use this wonderful fragrant plant have been invented. However, mint fans, in particular culinary lovers and professional chefs, are considered one of the most popular mint products. The applications of this concentrate are indeed almost limitless - we can say that they are identical to the number of useful properties of the starting material for its production.
Mint essence can be used not only as an excellent flavor additive in the composition of numerous drinks, but also to complement the taste of many other dishes. Basically, cooking uses mint essence when preparing various kinds of pastries, dessert dishes, cakes, sorbets, ice cream, puddings, souffles, jelly, casseroles and masses of other very tasty and fragrant sweet treats.
It is worth noting that all essences (including mint) are usually divided into natural and artificial. The first species is obtained by squeezing or distilling plants and fruits, while synthetic essences are the result of the use of chemicals. Moreover, the best option is to strictly adhere to the exact recipe of a particular dish (drink) so that the result is a finished product with the expected mint aroma and flavor.
Notably, mint essence can only be added to sweet dishes, but also used as a dressing component to fruit or vegetable salads, as well as flavoring sugar sand. It is enough to add a couple of drops of mint essence to the dough or cream - their taste and aroma will significantly increase, and the color scheme will not change, since this concentrate is almost transparent.
