It is worth noting that the properties of sage oil, along with the methods of its use, depend on the raw materials for its manufacture. So, it is customary to distinguish between essential oils of nutmeg sage and medicinal sage.

What they have in common is that it is customary to obtain these oils by distillation, so the resulting substances are highly volatile. Regarding everything else - there are a number of differences, given which, you will be aware of some unpleasant consequences from the use of these two types of sage oil.

The food industry uses nutmeg sage oil, which is a necessary component in the manufacture of confectionery and distillery products, which gives them a characteristic nutmeg aroma.

For a long time, tinctures and sage oil have been used in alternative medicine to treat infertility and other female disorders. Sage oil at the hormonal level can have a regulating and anti-inflammatory effect, as well as tone the uterus. The local use of this natural remedy for ulcers and wounds is also relevant, which is due to the wound healing and antiseptic properties of sage oil.
