Fir oil is considered a unique product that is a natural source of many biologically active compounds that are valuable to the human body.

Interestingly, numerous attempts by domestic and foreign chemists to create vegetable oil in laboratory conditions, at least remotely resembling natural fir oil. And this is not to mention the fact that the characteristic natural properties of fir oil are simply impossible to obtain synthetically.

It should be noted that natural essential little fir in terms of the content of useful natural compounds largely wins compared to many other types of vegetable oils. This is due to both the composition and healing properties of the natural product.

It is customary to obtain essential fir oil as a result of water-steam distillation of young branches, needles and cones of white or Siberian fir. The distribution range of the first species is the Carpathians and Ukrainian forest-steppes, while the second can most often be found in Siberia, in particular the Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as the republics of Khakassia and Tuva.

It can be used both in pure form and used as a raw material for the synthesis of medical camphor. Fir oil contains tannins, ascorbic acid, carotene and tocopherols.

The high biological activity of this product determines the presence of valuable cosmetic, therapeutic, disinfecting and anti-inflammatory properties of fir oil, which have been familiar to humanity for more than a century. In addition, the special properties of fir oil are also associated with antiviral and bactericidal actions.

It has been proven that fir oil can suppress drip infections, staphylococci and rod-shaped microorganisms, and therefore in coniferous forests especially clean and fresh air.
