Culinary semi-finished products

Culinary semi-finished products...

Remarkably, semi-finished products are a prime example of products that have been invented in our fast-moving age. A few decades ago, there was no such abundance of various types of culinary semi-finished products on the shelves of domestic stores. Modern hostesses should have time to do a lot more, so there is very little time left to prepare food. This is where culinary semi-finished products that have become so popular recently come to the rescue. So, what are culinary semi-finished products and "what do they eat with"?

In accordance with the terminology adopted in the food industry, culinary semi-finished products are nothing more than a product that has been previously primary processed. However, this does not mean that cooking semi-finished products are already ready for consumption, since as a rule such products are sold frozen or chilled. Then the semi-finished products need to be brought to readiness - fry, cook or bake.

Types of semi-finished products

Modern food manufacturers are constantly improving the freezing technologies of various food products. This allows you to produce more types of semi-finished products. Currently, among the most common types of semi-finished products, the following can be distinguished:

chopped meat semi-finished products (cutlets, schnitzel, minced meat, knels, zrazy, as well as croquettes and meatballs);

Composition of semi-finished products

The composition of semi-finished products depends on the type of product. In addition, the composition of semi-finished products directly depends on the integrity of food producers. Since often the manufacturer, for the sake of its own benefit, violates the prescribed recipe and uses cheaper or lower-quality ingredients for the manufacture of culinary semi-finished products. The calorie content of semi-finished products will also depend on the variety and composition of the product. The average calorie content of semi-finished products is 190 Kcal, which fall per 100 grams.

Unfortunately, the quality of frozen semi-finished products, which can contain large amounts of trans fats, often suffers. These substances have a negative effect on the human body. For this reason, doctors, as well as nutritionists, recommend eating frozen semi-finished products as little as possible, containing trans fats or hydrogenated liquid vegetable oils that shutter and cause significant damage to the cardiovascular system of the human body.
