Natural pistachio oil is made on the basis of the core of pistachio fruits of the present, which belongs to the Anakardievs or Sumakhovs family. In an unrefined form, pistachio oil has a thick consistency and a deep green color, while as a result of refining it acquires a light yellow color and practically loses its characteristic smell.

The composition of natural pistachio oil contains the most unsaturated fatty acids, among which oleic (51-54%), linoleic (31-35%), linolenic (about 2%) and palmitoleic (about 2%) can be distinguished. In addition, pistachio oil also contains stearic acid, which is classified as saturated fatty acids.

The medicinal properties of pistachio oil were known back in ancient times. By the way, Syria is considered the birthplace of the plant itself, but today pistachios are widely cultivated in many world countries. A rather large bush (no more than seven meters in height) gives a person nut-like fruits, the cores of which are distinguished by a pleasant taste and a special peculiar aroma.

Seventy percent of pistachio cores consist of oil, which is highly valued not only in cooking, but also in other areas, in particular in medicine and cosmetology. Nuts themselves are distinguished by increased nutritional value, a high content of mineral salts, as well as vitamins and acids necessary for the human body. However, it is recommended to include this product in the diet menu.

Quality pistachio oil is characterized by nutritional, tonic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and photoprotective properties. Pistachio oil can help with weathering, drying and frostbite, as well as eliminate peeling of especially sensitive and prone to dry skin.
