A representative of a subspecies of fish of the genus Belarusian, a family of whitefish fish of the order salmon-like is nelma fish. It is a semi-aquatic or freshwater fish whose main habitat can be called the Arctic Ocean Basin, within the Ponoy River to the Mackenzie River.

Nelma fish is rightfully considered a fairly large species - in various natural conditions, its weight can range from 5-16 kilograms. Nevertheless, you can often find just huge specimens, the weight of which reaches 30-40 kilograms. The calorie content of nelma, namely fresh meat of this fish, is about 115 kcal per hundred grams.

Nelma fish dishes are highly appreciated not only for their delicious taste, but also for their nutritious and healthy properties. Nelma meat, rich in proteins, contains a balanced composition of amino acids and fats. In addition, being an easily digestible seafood, nelma is suitable for regular consumption. Due to the relatively low calorie content of nelma, dishes prepared on its basis can be eaten without fear for the digestive system and figure even in large quantities. A wide variety of dishes are prepared from nelma fish, including delicatessen dishes.

If you happened to cook this noble fish for the first time, then take your time to apply it in intricate recipes - just fry it to get a delicious dish. To this end, the nelma fish is eviscerated, large bones are removed, the meat is cut into large pieces and salted. Each piece of nelma fish is advised to plan properly in flour, before adding spices and spices to taste.

Nelma fish is fried quite quickly - about three to four minutes on each side. True, it is necessary to lay out in a frying pan and turn over pieces of fish carefully so that their shape is preserved. On the shelves of domestic stores, you can buy not only carcasses of nelma fish in chilled or frozen form, but also a canned version of this seafood in its own juice or in oil. In this form, it is wonderfully suitable for preparing fish salads.

Nelma fish is fervently loved and devotees of exotic dishes, for which it fits just perfectly. Since nelma is classified as one of the few pure fish species that do not contain parasites, it can be eaten and raw. So, from nelma, sushi is perfectly obtained, for example, which are remarkably combined with dark soy sauce and spicy wasabi.
