Its appearance and marble mottled shade in the color of notation is very similar to cod, and therefore in some countries it is often called - Atlantic cod. In addition, this is why misunderstandings often also occur in the scientific literature - nototations with cod fish have a very distant relationship.

Regarding the taste characteristics of nototenia, it can be said that its meat is quite fatty and very tasty, therefore it is used to prepare a variety of dishes. In boiled form, nototium is juicy, its meat is coarse fiber and light. Broths from this marine inhabitant are fatty, transparent, with a very pleasant smell and taste. Nototenia fish are suitable for frying. In addition, delicious second dishes and hot and cold smoking products are prepared from it. The calorie content of nototenia is about 148 kcal per hundred grams of fresh fish meat.

However, it is very important not to dry out nototenia fish dishes - it must be borne in mind that it is prepared much faster than meat, and in a dried form it loses its juiciness. Dietetics experts recommend including nototenia fish dishes at least twice a week in your diet - this will have invaluable health benefits for all your family members.
