Smoked capelin

Smoked capelin...

Smoked capelin is not only an excellent snack in cold quality beer, but also a component for preparing a variety of dishes. In particular, smoked capelin is added to the composition of salads and cold snacks, to which the aromatic meat of this fish gives additional taste shades.

High-quality smoked capelin is distinguished by a uniform golden color and smooth dry skin, on which dents or damage should not be present. Dark spots on smoked capelin indicate that the product is stale, while light ones may indicate that the fish has not been finished.

Capelin fish, which was caught in autumn or winter, is more fatty, respectively, the calorie content of such smoked capelin will be higher than the nutritional value of fish caught in the warm season.

In addition, smoked wash should include only 2 components - directly the fish itself and food salt. Moreover, the shelf life of smoked capelin in cardboard packaging is no more than a month, while in a vacuum the fish may not deteriorate until six months.

Due to the fact that smoking sawdust is an expensive process, many manufacturers use liquid smoke, which significantly reduces the cost of the finished product. Signs of natural smoking are the presence of holes from the rope in the smoked wash, the golden tint of the smoked crust and the absence of excessive moisture. In addition, high-quality soy smoked meat fits tightly to the bones. The calorie content of smoked capelin is approximately 152 kcal per 100 grams of finished fish product.

Not only high gastronomic indicators are so appreciated in smoked capelin - the benefits of this product for human health are also important. First of all, it should be noted that this fish contains about 25 percent of easily digestible proteins, as well as a small amount of connective tissue, due to which the capelin is also prepared very quickly. It is worth remembering the beneficial properties of smoked capelin due to the content of important amino acids in it - methionine, threonine, cysteine and lysine.

It is noteworthy that the smoked capelin contains vitamins B12, D, A along with the body's essential fatty acids omega-3 and omega-6, which have invaluable benefits to the heart, brain, and vision. In addition, thanks to them, cholesterol is removed from the body. Smoked capelin is rich in valuable substances such as sodium, bromine, potassium and fluorine.
