However, despite the fact that many love them and often buy them, not everyone knows that they are called royal solely because of their size. As such, a species called "royal" does not exist, in connection with which, several species of large shrimp can be safely attributed to them.

The popularity of royal shrimp is so great that there is even a saying in English that is similar in meaning to our expression "When cancer whistles on the mountain. " Think only: royal shrimp was a favorite meal of ancient aristocrats, but not boiled, as is currently customary, but baked or fried.

Interestingly, shrimp are warm-blooded and cold-blooded, and it is the latter that is much larger and called royal. Almost all species of royal shrimp are characterized by a large head and a much smaller tail. They say that it is because of this property of royal shrimp that the value of their meat is slightly less than, for example, in tigers, but it tastes much better. It is known that royal shrimp can grow up to 35 centimeters long, while weighing up to 250 grams. Indeed - royal!

Our stores most often sell already boiled royal shrimp, which were subsequently frozen. They are ready for use immediately after defrosting. If you have purchased a freshly frozen seafood, then it is easy to cook it yourself.

And did you know that it's not just the water that brews king shrimp. So, for example, in Italy, they are usually cooked raw in milk or cream. And in China and Japan - with the addition of green tea. Funny, but Russia is not inferior to other countries: some manage to cook royal shrimp in beer and even vodka! However, whatever cooking method you choose, remember that this product is the main thing not to overexpose, since as a result you can get meat of these wonderful inhabitants of the sea similar to rubber.

In general, half of the periodic table of chemical elements can be found in the composition of the meat of royal shrimp. It has been scientifically proven that if you consume 100 grams of meat of this seafood per day (with a calorie content of 87 kcal of royal shrimp), then the need for a daily rate, for example, iodine will be completely covered.

Again, to the word about the calorie content of royal shrimp - they are for a reason related to dietary products, since they are an ideal food for people who have identified their vital credo as a healthy lifestyle.

By the way, oddly enough, but the calorie content of royal shrimp is less than small varieties. In general, a small nutritional value is associated with the fact that the meat of these sea crustaceans practically does not contain fat, but it is rich in saturated fatty acids, which are simply necessary for optimal heart function.
