Salted tomatoes

Salted tomatoes...

Domestic pickles are fervently loved by both adults and children. They have always been considered the real decoration of any table, often acting as an excellent snack. Many hostesses never buy industrial pedestals, but cook them on their own.

In particular, pickled tomatoes are in particular demand along with cucumbers. However, despite the mass of beneficial properties of salted vegetables when harvesting them, it is important to exactly follow the recipe and some recommendations so that the finished product does not deteriorate and cannot harm health.

It should be remembered that spoiled or frozen fruits are not suitable for salting. Also, unheated green tomatoes do not often salt, since at this stage they practically do not contain sugar, so vegetables are distinguished by a tart taste and low acidity. In addition, it is recommended to salt tomatoes of different degrees of maturity separately from each other due to the fact that in the end they will have different densities.

By the way, if salted tomatoes are cooked in clay or wooden dishes, it is recommended to add 100 grams of oak and cherry leaves for every ten kilograms of vegetables. The fruits are laid as tightly as possible to each other - then the tomatoes will be whole, without wrinkles and cracks. The calorie content of salted tomatoes is only 13 kcal per hundred grams of finished product.
