Sugar beet is considered a type of ordinary beet, but unlike the latter it is distinguished by the highest productivity, since each club contains a lot of sucrose. Related to technical crops, sugar beets are used not only for the industrial production of granulated sugar, but also widely used for the purpose of feeding animals.

As you know, the harvest of sugar beets depends primarily on the growing conditions - this crop is extremely demanding on heat, humidity and needs large amounts of sunlight. That is why the most suitable region for its cultivation is considered to be areas of the Black Earth Region. The fact that along with the Russian Federation and Belarus, Ukraine and Georgia have become the record holders for the cultivation of this heat-loving culture, and there is nothing strange at all.

During the first year of life, sugar beets, being a two-year-old plant, form an elongated root crop, which is characterized by a solid white pulp and basal leaves that form a rosette. A distinctive property of sugar beet is that this plant is completely processed, that is, without waste. So, the idea is not only sugar and pulp, but also molasses along with defecation.

Sugar beet waste, by the way, is also important. For example, molasses are used in the production of alcohol, citric acid, glycerol, organic acids and yeast. Defecate is a useful fertilizer for plants, while pulp acts as a juicy, healthy feed for cattle and pigs.

There was a place for sugar beets in cooking. When grinding, it can be used as a natural mass sweetener when preparing many dishes - jam, milk porridge, pastries and compotes. Craftsmen very often make excellent moonshine and sweet syrups based on sugar beets. True, before using sugar beet tubers, you should peel the skin, the taste of which is quite unpleasant.

Traditional medicine has long recognized this culture as useful. Moreover, this fact is not unfounded - sugar beet contains a lot of vitamins: groups B, PP and C. Iodine, magnesium, iron, copper and calcium with phosphorus are released from mineral salts. In addition, sugar beets contain a lot of bioflavonoids, pectins, as well as a valuable substance called betaine.

It has been proven that when eating this culture, the beneficial properties of sugar beet are to increase immunity, improve digestion and metabolism. In addition, it is able to put in order the work of the heart and blood vessels due to the positive effect of sugar beet on the production of hemoglobin.
