China is considered the birthplace of pak choi cabbage, so the second name of the product is often found - Chinese cabbage. The name cabbage literally means "horse ear" in Chinese. The plant forms dense rosettes of leaves, which usually do not exceed 40 cm in diameter. Usually, the cabbage leaves of pak choi fit tightly together. If the rosette of Chinese cabbage is "lazy" means the product is not fresh and it is hardly worth using such a pack of choi for food.

In nature, there are only two varieties of pak choi cabbage, which differ primarily in their appearance. The first type of Chinese cabbage is distinguished by a dark green leaf color. The second type of pak choi opposite is characterized by a gently green and light color. Chinese cabbage pak choi relatively recently began to be cultivated in our latitudes. However, domestic gardeners-gardeners managed to appreciate not only the taste and consumer qualities of the product.

The fact is that Chinese pak choi cabbage belongs to frost-resistant plants that feel great in our latitudes. The similarity of the domestic and Chinese climates allows you to grow Chinese pak choi cabbage in our weather conditions. Usually, pak choi cabbage is sown in two runs. The first time cabbage seeds are planted in the ground in April, and then in July. As a result, throughout the warm period, you can feast on the fresh herbs of Chinese pak choi cabbage.

Pak choi cabbage differs from other similar subspecies in the ripening period. It takes just 50 days from seed planting to get a ready-to-eat crop of Chinese pak choi cabbage. In addition, pak choi cabbage is able to maintain its taste and consumer qualities unchanged for up to 10 days, subject to the rules for storing the product.

In cooking, green leaves and petioles of Chinese pak choi cabbage are used. Moreover, cabbage is used not only as an ingredient in vegetable salads. Chinese cabbage pak choi is added to the first courses, as well as vegetable stews or honeycombs. Park choi is considered an excellent and light side dish for meat and fish dishes. In addition to the exceptionally savoury taste with gorchinka, pak choi cabbage is distinguished by its vitamin-mineral composition, which brings obvious benefits to the human body.

The composition of Chinese pak choi cabbage includes vitamins of group C, PP and B, as well as minerals of phosphorus, potassium, calcium, iron and sodium. However, the main feature of pak choi cabbage is the record number of natural amino acids lysine, which help the normal functioning of the cardiovascular and digestive systems of the human body.
