Thanks to the high fat content and the rather high calorie content of ground beef, the dishes prepared from this product are very tasty, nutritious and satisfying. They are especially useful for people with strong physical activity and for those who are engaged in thought activities. However, you should not abuse such food, as it is quite heavy food.

Today, you can find on sale not only chilled ground beef, which is considered the best option, but also a frozen product is not uncommon. When choosing mince, you always need to pay special attention to its appearance - a high-quality beef product has a rather pleasant rich dark pink color. However, you should not take shredded meat if it is too bright in color, since unscrupulous producers could easily add food dyes to it in order to give it a more marketable appearance. And also, if possible, smell the product - fresh meat has practically no smell.

You can also make ground beef yourself if you do not really trust the purchased product. To do this, it is enough to use a meat grinder or, more conveniently, a food processor. For these purposes, the so-called beef cutlet meat is best suited, in which the ratio of pure meat to fat is considered optimal.

Quite often, when preparing some dishes, the hostess specially mixes several types of minced meat. For example, you can combine beef with minced pork or minced turkey meat. Then the finished dish will turn out to be more tender and juicy. In addition, due to the considerable fat and calorie content of ground beef, it is even recommended to use it not in its pure form, but along with less fatty meat products.

In cooking, ground beef is often used to make a variety of meat dishes. For example, this is an excellent filling for cabbage rolls, bell peppers, waffle horns and other products that provide for the use of minced meat as a filler. In addition, you can make numerous sauces from it, for example, the famous Italian Bolognese. In this form, ground beef is perfectly combined with all kinds of side dishes, the most common of which is pasta.
