The recipes of traditional Indian cuisine are striking in many ways for their variety. Moreover, not every culinary tradition has in stock such a number of all kinds of aromas, tastes and flowers as is present in the dishes of this kitchen. This is largely due to the use of a large number of spices used in cooking.

In addition, there are recipes in which the minimum number of components used is provided, but the result is always excellent. Take, for example, roti tortillas, which are traditional Indian unleavened bread, which is usually made based on Atti coarse flour.

Roti tortillas along with their close relatives chapati tortillas are considered an integral part of not only Indian but also Pakistani cuisines. Chapati tortilla is also made from wheat flour and resembles thin pita bread in appearance. First, it is cooked in a dry frying pan, after which it is baked over an open heat. During the cooking process, the tortilla is inflated from a couple to such an extent that it takes on a round shape like a ball. It is customary to eat chapati tortillas by tearing the pieces and then dipping them into sauces.

Notably, there are still so many variants of tortillas that resemble roti, common in countries from South Asia to South America. Mostly roti tortillas are commonly consumed with boiled vegetables and curries. For example, the inhabitants of India are used to wrapping filling in roti tortillas, the options of which can also be a considerable number.

Several varieties of roti tortillas stand out, including white flour Sada roti, which is eaten with tomato or eggplant-based dishes. Paratha roti tortillas include a fairly large amount of melted butter, which is why the finished product has a brighter taste.

Puri is made from double tortillas, and is lubricated with oil during frying, like other roti. They are mainly used with halva. Roti tortillas filled with yellow peas, peppers and garlic are called Dhalpuri and are considered the most popular type of this flour product in India. Its variant is the Aloopuri dish.

If you cook a dish like lasagna by layering roti curry tortillas, you get Wrap roti. The cheapest version of roti tortillas is called Piper roti, and raw rolled tortillas stuffed and baked are called Fry Bake. Just Bake is the roti tortillas that are commonly cooked with butter, milk and coconut flesh.
