The melon's outer skin is trimmed, the core, along with the bones, is cleaned, and the flesh is cut into small pieces that sink into the boiling water for a few minutes, then doused with cold water.

At the next stage of making homemade melon jam, a sugar syrup is prepared, the degree of saturation of which will depend not only on the taste of the finished product. Cold melon pieces are poured with prepared hot syrup and future jam is left for several hours. It is recommended to boil products in several steps, the time duration of which should not be too long.

By the way, the preparation of melon jam has its own subtleties, knowing and applying which you can get a truly culinary masterpiece. So, for example, to give melon jam an unusual appearance, fresh slices are recommended to be cut using a special shaped knife.

In addition, melon jam can be prepared with the addition of other fruits - in particular, bananas are perfectly combined with melon. Ready-made melon jam with bananas has an excellent taste and aroma, however, the calorie content of such a dessert also increases to some extent.
