Curd jelly

Curd jelly...

All parents know that it can be very difficult, and sometimes it is impossible to make a child bite such a healthy product as cottage cheese. Meanwhile, it is just an excellent source of vital calcium, which has a beneficial effect on the correct formation of the bones and teeth of a small citizen of our country. In addition, cottage cheese contains a large amount of protein, which is easily absorbed by the child's body (much better than meat proteins, for example).

And yet, how to catch yourself and serve this snow-white fermented milk product in such a way that it appeals to the baby? There are a lot of ways to cook cottage cheese today, and to decide, just look into the cookbook, which is necessarily present in the kitchen of every self-respecting hostess, or "swim on the waves" of the Internet in search of a suitable recipe. Curd casseroles, doughnuts, cheesecakes, pies and patties. . . let's dwell, perhaps, on cottage cheese jelly.

It will not be difficult to cook such a useful and at the same time delicious curd jelly, the main thing is to have the necessary ingredients: cottage cheese, water, gelatin and granulated sugar. Sour cream is often added there, which adds extraordinary tenderness to curd jelly. And it is also often present in the composition of this tasty treat and vanillin or lemon zest, which give the finished dish an indescribable aroma. You can make chocolate curd jelly by adding a little cocoa powder or melted chocolate to the main components.

Curd jelly is prepared almost like any other jelly, only there are a few subtleties that allow you to make an amazingly tasty snow-white dessert. In particular, before adding cottage cheese, it is recommended to wipe it several times through a sieve or pass it through a meat grinder. This is done so that the finished jelly does not have lumps characteristic of cottage cheese, and the structure is homogeneous and smooth.

You can serve curd jelly just like that, because in appearance it is already quite attractive. Some prefer to decorate the finished dessert with a variety of fresh berries or pieces of fruit - such a treat becomes not only even more appetising, but also useful. For children, cottage cheese jelly looks completely special if you draw funny faces on the surface of a frozen white jelly with bright jam.

For adherents of low-calorie food, this wonderful treat is also remarkably suitable, because you can regulate the nutritional value of curd jelly due to the fact that today there are completely different types of cottage cheese on store shelves, the fat content of which varies from almost zero to 9%.
