The amount of sugar in plum jam will affect the calorie content of the finished product. Therefore, you should choose sweeter plum varieties for making jam, then you can significantly reduce the amount of sugar in the product.

In order to prepare plum jam, you need to thoroughly wash the plums and remove the bones from the fruits. Then make plum puree from fruits in a blender or meat grinder. The plum mass is placed in a saucepan and boiled over medium heat for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. In half an hour, the mash will thicken and turn into plum jam. The final product will be distinguished by a beautiful and rich color. Ready plum jam is laid out in pre-prepared and sterilised jars, which are covered with a lid.
