Sugar cookies can be called a type of homemade cookies, since the composition of these confectionery products is almost identical. So, the composition of sugar cookies contains an increased amount of sugar, fats and egg products. This treat is characterized by fracture porosity along with increased brittleness and disintegration. The calorie content of sugar cookies is contentedly high, which is not surprising due to the composition of this confectionery, and is approximately 417 kcal per 100 grams.

The dough, which is used to bake sugar cookies, takes shape easily. Its characteristic features are plasticity, porosity, as well as high swelling capacity. It is thanks to such dough qualities that a variety of patterns can be easily applied to the surface of the cookie.

Sugar cookies produced by the modern food industry are classified by varieties: they are of the highest, first and, accordingly, second grade. In addition, confectionery products can be either simple or composite, that is, consisting of several layers with layers of marshmallows, see or marmalade.

As part of sugar cookies, the obligatory ingredients are high-grade wheat flour and, much less often, the first grade, granulated sugar, the mass fraction of which does not exceed 27 percent, as well as fats. Depending on the type of dough and the type of flour, the mass fraction of the latter varies within 3-30 percent.

In addition, the use of dairy and egg products is also provided for by the recipe for making this cookie. Often, in the composition of sugar cookies, you can find a variety of baking powder and flavors identical to natural ones.

Unfortunately, the use of natural aromatic additives has recently been less and less common, but vitamins and other biologically active substances in this product significantly increase the nutritional value of cookies.
