Cake potatoes

Cake potatoes...

We think it's no secret that every nation living on planet Earth differs from others not only in language or appearance, as well as in its distinctive culture, culinary traditions and addictions. However, most people around the world will not mind feasting on sweet and tasty confections called cakes. In addition, each nation will have several exclusive recipes for popularly beloved confectionery and sweet treats.

Cakes were not initially singled out as a separate type of confectionery. Cakes were thought to be just a small cake in size. However, over time, humanity appreciated the new type of confectionery, which was invented by culinary masters back in the Middle Ages. Currently, there are a sufficient number of types of cakes in the global culinary tradition. We want to talk about one of these types today.

Cake potatoes are among the ten most popular and widely distributed confectionery products in our latitudes. In addition, cake potatoes are considered an easily available food that can be easily prepared at home. Therefore, it is not surprising that many domestic hostesses can easily cook cake potatoes on their own and please their loved ones with a tasty treat.

Composition of cake potatoes

It is noteworthy that in the food industry, cake potatoes are called dry cake, i. e. a confectionery made from shaken bread. The official name of the confectionery accurately reflects the composition of cake potatoes. As a rule, crumbs are used to make cake potatoes, which are produced from different varieties of bread. Often it is confectionery or ready-made breadcrumbs that are part of cake potatoes.

In addition to breadcrumbs, cake potatoes include granulated sugar, butter, cocoa powder, vanilla, as well as an alcoholic component. As a rule, sweet and low-alcohol liqueurs are used to make cake potatoes. It is noteworthy that cake potatoes do not need to be heat treated and baked in the oven until completely ready. This is the main feature of the confectionery product, for the preparation of which it is enough just to grind the crumbs, mix the resulting mass with sugar, egg and butter.

Often, cocoa powder or boiled condensed milk, nuts, sunflower seeds, as well as vanilla are added to cake potatoes. The resulting mass is thoroughly mixed, then given a distinctive round or slightly elongated shape, which distinguishes the cake potatoes from other confectionery products and places the blanks in the refrigerator to complete the preparation. After a while, the cake potatoes are decorated with cream or pastry sprinkles and served to the table.

The calorie content of cake potatoes is at a fairly high level. This is primarily due to the chemical composition and the set of initial ingredients that are used to prepare the confectionery product. The average calorie content of cake potatoes is at 310 Kcal, which is per 100 grams of confectionery. In addition to a fairly high calorie level, cake potatoes contain a large amount of sugar, and therefore carbohydrates. Therefore, it is worth avoiding uncontrolled consumption of cake potatoes for people who are obese or have diabetes.
