About 60 species of cheese beetles are known, which grow in the forests of Western and Eastern Europe, but mushrooms with a predominance of blue-green and yellow-brown shades are recognized as the best. They are classified as delicacies and are consumed raw, as well as salted and even dried.

These mushrooms can be boiled, fried, simmered (especially in sour cream sauce), marinated, salted and even dried.
