Plouot

Plouot...

Today, various hybrids are increasingly found on grocery store shelves. Hybrids are usually called fruits that were born due to interspecies crossing of plants, and not at all as a result of genetic experiments (as many believe). Take, for example, such hybrid fruits as tangelo and nectarin. However, the modern range is undoubtedly not limited to these two fruit crops.

One such novelty can be called plutum or fruit obtained from crossing plums with apricots. The useful properties of plutum are due to the presence of many valuable substances that are contained in the initial forms for its preparation - vitamins A, group B, ascorbic acid and fiber.

The skin of mature pluot can be colored green, purple, burgundy or pink. At the same time, the juicy flesh, which tastes more like an apricot, is both white and rich in plum color. Nevertheless, outwardly plouot is more a trip to the plum. Plouot was first bred in 1989 thanks to the efforts of scientists from the California nursery Dave Wilson Nursery. To date, there are about eleven varieties of this hybrid fruit around the world.

Basically, this wonderful fruit is used to make unusually original juice, as well as wine. In addition, in fresh form, the fruits of Plouot are incredibly tasty, juicy and rich. It is noteworthy that due to the large content of sugars, plutum is much sweeter than its counterparts - plums and apricots. The calorie content of plutum per hundred grams is about 57 kcal. By the way, the people also know another name for this fruit - slibricos.

Moderate consumption of this fruit in general has a beneficial effect on the nervous system, while the fruits are quite useful for vision. The clear advantages of plutum include its ability to increase immunity, to have a mild laxative effect, which is important for problems with the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, pluot helps to remove bad cholesterol from the body, which also prepares about the significant benefits of these juicy fruits.

Nevertheless, it is cautiously recommended to consume plutum in diabetes mellitus due to the high sugar content. Plouot can cause harm if it is bitten on an empty stomach - the fruits contain special substances that irritate the mucous membranes. That is why this fruit can provoke an exacerbation of stomach ulcers, gastritis and pancreatitis. However, in general, with rational use, the benefits of plutum for the body of a healthy person are obvious.
