Mini bananas are one of the varieties of standard bananas more familiar to our person, although the former are characterized by some differences. First of all, these are, of course, miniature sizes. Thus, the length of mature fruits of the largest fruits hardly exceeds twelve centimeters. In addition, mini bananas are distinguished by a richer, so to speak, concentrated sweet taste and a delicate fruity aroma.

It is claimed that mini bananas come from Malaysia, and they only came to India in the sixth century. According to legend, Alexander the Great, who during his 327 campaign visited India, trying these fruits, also could not resist and decided to take them with him to the West.

Today, these babies are imported mainly from such warm countries as Ecuador, Mexico and Colombia. Recently, mini bananas have begun to be actively cultivated in the Canary Islands, where they are often called sugar or dwarf bananas. It is noteworthy that the fruits of such bananas are largely smaller than their African counterparts, however, neither in taste nor in calories, mini bananas are inferior to their standard colleagues.

Mini bananas are a wonderful food that has great benefits for the body. For example, for an ordinary person, athlete or someone who adheres to dietary nutrition, these fruits are much healthier than other fruits, since the combination of B vitamins and carbohydrates provides a boost of energy and a surge of strength for the whole day.

It is known that at the moment several varieties of mini bananas stand out, which differ in the color of the peel - yellow, green and red. However, regardless of color, they have the same useful properties. In particular, in these fruits there is a high content of food pectins with a low amount of organic acids, which is especially important for therapeutic nutrition. This applies to numerous diseases of the stomach, liver and intestines.

It is customary to use sufficient mature fruits as food, which differ in fragrant sweet to taste flesh, which is colored in whitish-cream color. The degree of maturity of mini bananas, as a rule, can be determined by the color of the peel - the upper layer of mature fruits acquires an intense yellow (mainly), red or green color.

Although you can eat mini bananas in cooked form. For example, in Cuba, it is customary to serve French bananas, and Venezuela is characterized by such a dish - banana rice with parsley and pepper. Africans, on the other hand, gladly add bananas to almost all dishes - this is especially true of omelettes and porridge, and it does not do without these fragrant fruits even in tomato soup.
