Soda water

Soda water...

Often, world cinema and the entire entertainment industry as a whole dictates fashion for new taste preferences and not only in clothes or lifestyle, as well as in food and drinks. Agree, because many admirers of the work of a particular actor want to be like their hero. Fans begin to imitate not only the appearance and manner of behavior of their idol, but adopt his favorite dishes and drinks.

Marketing research has shown that after the release of the next series of Bondiana known to the whole world on wide screens, the demand for Agent 007's favorite cocktail is sharply increasing in restaurants, bars and other drinking establishments. The same story with soda water, the existence of which we learned primarily from Hollywood films, where the heroes ordered "whiskey and soda" or soda in bars.

Soda water is just a kind of well-known soda or carbonated water for all of us. Carbonated water differs from conventional water only in that its composition is enriched with carbon dioxide. Interestingly, two people invented soda independently of each other. Moreover, the first Swede T. Bergman, chemist and researcher, and the second simple brewer D. Pristli.

Mr Priestley was a lucky businessperson who decided he had invented a medicinal fizzy drink. The brewer began to use the air that accumulated in the beer barrel during the fermentation process and enriched them with ordinary water. The drink was to the taste and friends and customers of the brewer, so he established a constant production of soda water.

Nowadays, manufacturers of soft drinks introduce carbon dioxide into ordinary fresh water in strictly regulated amounts and under certain conditions. The result is soda water, which is used in most popular and famous cocktails.

The presence of carbon dioxide in soda water determines the chemical and physical properties of the drink. For example, if you shake a bottle of soda water sharply before opening it, after you remove the lid from the neck, all the carbonated contents with an unstoppable fountain will escape. Consumer demand dictates its conditions for the production of soda water.

Nowadays, in the production of soda water, new ingredients are added to the original recipe in addition to ordinary water and carbon dioxide. As a rule, these are sweeteners, taste stabilizers and food additives (dyes, preservatives). Such a drink can hardly be considered useful or at least safe for the human body, so it is better for parents to more carefully monitor the level of consumption of sweet fizzy soda by the child.

Doctors and nutritionists have long talked about the obvious harm of soda water, especially in large quantities. This drink affects the enamel of teeth and washes calcium out of our body. Therefore, it is better to minimize the consumption of soda water both in its pure form and as a component of cocktails.
