Mirinda

Mirinda...

Probably the most difficult drink to describe, which belongs to the category of non-alcoholic, is Mirinda. It is currently sold all over the world, with its flavour range may include orange, lemon, grapefruit, apple, banana, grape, pineapple, strawberry, raspberry tones and even present flavor of passion fruit or hibiscus. It is produced not only strongly or weakly carbonated, but also without gas at all, but in terms of sweetness and, accordingly, the amount of sugar, it can vary not only depending on the country of production, but also the existing aroma.

It should be noted that Mirinda also has strong lemon flavors, and therefore it would be fair to classify it as a citrus-flavored soft drink. Although the rich bright orange color, which can be called Mirinda's signature along with the dominant taste of oranges, causes an established association directly with the taste of these juicy fruits.

Meanwhile, Mirinda is a non-alcoholic fizzy drink that features a pronounced orange flavor and is produced by PepsiCo under the associated brand name. Mirinda has Spanish roots, which is understandable: the juicy fragrant fruits that are abundant in this country could not help but stumble upon the manufacture of a drink based on them.

By the way, the history of the name of the drink Mirinda is quite unusual and, one might say, very original. Taking into account the young age of the drink (Mirinda was first released in 1958 according to data from Wikipedia), a word from Esperanto, an international language, was chosen as the name. Notably, in translation, Mirinda means surprising or surprising. Actually, given the fact that initially the drink included exclusively natural juices, this name is very justified.

However, over time (as is usually the case), the recipe for making Mirinda has changed fundamentally. At the moment, this is nothing more than flavoured soda water with a mass of a wide variety of flavors. So, in the composition of Mirinda you can find purified drinking water, sugar, carbon dioxide, natural extracts and natural flavors - this is stated by the manufacturer. But what really lies under this naturalness is not known to many.

Basically, Mirinda is consumed in its pure form, although this non-alcoholic carbonated drink with a rich fruit taste often acts as one of the mandatory components for making a wide variety of cocktails.
