Coffee latte...

Few people know that latte coffee and milk coffee are completely different drinks. Café au lait, literally French for "coffee and milk, " a drink made from coffee and hot milk. Latte coffee from the Italian caffè latte, which also translates "coffee with milk, " a drink made from a portion of espresso coffee (americano, mocaccino) and milk. Coffee latte and the French version called coffee with milk differ in the coffee base and the way the drink is served.

Latte composition

In Europe, coffee lattes are made not only on the basis of espresso. It is worth noting that the type of drink depends, first of all, on the composition of the latte. According to the Italian classic recipe for coffee, lattes use a variety of arabica called mocha, a bowl of warmed but not boiled milk, and hot chocolate or cocoa. Coffee lattes have been made in Italy for several centuries. Over time, the composition of the latte underwent changes and improvements. Latte coffee has gained worldwide popularity and entered the list of masterpieces of world cooking thanks to an improved and modernized recipe for the drink, for which one part of espresso and 3 part of milk are used. On top of the coffee, the latte is covered with mandatory milk foam.

Types of latte

Currently, there are a sufficient number of latte species, among which quite exotic specimens are found. Among the most common and popular types of lattes can be distinguished:

a classic latte, a drink made with moccacino coffee and milk;

latte machiato;

espresso-based coffee latte;

an Americano-based coffee latte;

a matcha tea-based latte or mate to which hot milk is added;

the African version of coffee latte is made with red roybos tea;

The American version of latte coffee is made from black coffee brewed by a drip method. For the manufacture of this type of latte, a coffee machine called a French press (without a filter) is used.
