Sambuca is a classic Italian anise-scented liqueur. In the mind of an ordinary person, liquor is a sweet drink with a small fortress. However, in the case of sambuka, everything is completely different. It is a bitter tincture, the number of revolutions in which varies from 38% to 42% (the exact value depends on the specific manufacturer).

Light sambuca should be made exclusively from natural ingredients. Among them: a set of all kinds of aromatic herbs, wheat alcohol, elderberry squeezes, anise flowers and star anise, sugar, as well as some other products characteristic of certain brands. This combination contributes to the safety of sambuca. After all, all these ingredients favorably affect the receptors, excluding their burning. The exact formulation of each bottle is kept in the strictest secret. This is true because it is this approach that makes the drink so exclusive and mysterious.

Sambuca Use Options

Of course, a light sambuca can be used solo, i. e. individually. However, in this case, you will not feel the full depth of its taste. There are a large number of ways to taste this traditionally Italian drink. The most popular is the classic method, which was created and tested 300 years ago.

A little clean light sambuca is poured into a special glass. There are also 2 beans of selected coffee. Then the liquor is set on fire and warmed up for several seconds, after which it is covered with another glass. After the drink you need to drink. A similar method is traditionally considered Roman. To this day, in the capital of Italy, a light sambuca is used in this way.

The drink, as we have already noticed, can be consumed separately. That being said, you can pair it with some spices or simple bits of ice. You will definitely notice how light sambuca changes its taste and color with a change in temperature.

Often the drink can be found in cocktails. Here are just the most popular of them: Sokolov's silver bullet, Boyarsky's daughter, a fierce bull, a slippery nipple, etc. Some cooks actively add sambuca to culinary delights, such as ice cream or cream. It has a good taste and a pleasant aroma that you will not confuse with anything else.
