Pisco

Pisco...

Alcoholic beverage pisco is made on the basis of muscat grape varieties. Interestingly, its name from the Native American dialect translates to "flying bird. " Pisco, which belongs to the brandy class, is considered the national drink of Peru and Chile, where it is currently produced. Its fortress is about 35-50 vol.

It is worth noting that both of these countries are actively fighting for the right to call themselves the historical homeland of pisco. Moreover, the unofficial holiday "Piskola Day, " which takes place annually in Chile on February 8, is even associated with this strong drink. So, squeaky called one of the most popular cocktails based on pisco, and it is customary to cook it from this drink with the addition of cola and ice.

By the way, there are certain differences in the manufacture of Chilean and Peruvian pisco. For example, in Peru, it is customary to produce a drink by distilling freshly fermented grape wine, which is purified from cake. Distillation is carried out once, and ultimately a 43 vol beverage is obtained. But dilution with pisco water is strictly prohibited by Peruvian law. To make Chilean pisco, the "heart" of grape distillate is needed, while the fruits must be grown on the territory of five solar valleys of the Andes.

A prerequisite for the production of high-quality pisco is its long exposure in oak barrels with a capacity of 250 to 500 liters. Also, this drink can be made on the basis of one (puro) or several (acholado) grape varieties.

The pisco table is served as a digestif or aperitif, and based on the temperature of the drink, it is poured into various glasses. For example, high-quality pure chilled pisco is poured into vodka glasses, while when heated to room temperature, it is good in cognac glasses.

Due to its strength, pisco can be used for medicinal purposes to deform tinctures, and then used as a disinfectant, anti-inflammatory and anti-bactericidal agent. In addition, during production, the beverage is enriched with tannins and biologically active compounds, as well as grape essential oils that favorably affect the human body. However, the positive effect of pisco on health can be achieved only with moderate consumption - up to 50 milliliters per day.

If you consume pisco before going to bed, this drink can relieve fatigue, muscle and nerve tension. If you drink a drink after a meal, it will make it better to emit gastric juice, thereby speeding up the processes of digesting food.
