Raspberry liqueur

Raspberry liqueur...

As a rule, liquor is understood as a sweet alcoholic drink of medium strength with a particularly subtle aroma. Not only in industrial production, but also at home, liqueurs are made by distilling a fruit and berry infusion with the addition of traditional spices in the form of essential oils and essences. For alcohol, purified alcohol is most often used.

According to the liqueur technology, alcohol is infused for some time with vegetable raw materials and spices, and then strained and filtered. In the next step, the flavored infusion is combined with the pre-prepared sugar syrup, settled again, and the resulting precipitate is removed.

Among all the variety of liqueur products, a special place belongs to raspberry liqueur, which is distinguished not only by its attractive appearance, extraordinary taste and strong aroma, but also by its beneficial properties. However, the latter quality can only be discussed in the case of using high-quality natural raw materials and meeting the necessary conditions when preparing this drink.

The basis of raspberry liquor is the alcoholic juice of raspberries, otherwise a raspberry tincture. The way of its manufacture is to squeeze juice from fresh berries with its subsequent preservation with alcohol. An alternative to this method is soaking or infusing raspberry berries in a water-alcohol mixture, but this can take several weeks, so many culinary experts use the first method of preparing raspberry tincture.

In addition, raspberry liquor is often made by another method. First, you need to get a raspberry decoction for this, for which pure fresh raspberries are poured with water and boiled until the berries shine (about an hour). The fruits that gave the decoction all their taste, aroma and color are thrown away, and sugar sand is introduced into the liquid, which is mixed until completely dissolved. It turns out a kind of raspberry syrup, which cools, is filtered and diluted with alcohol-containing raw materials. After the raspberry liqueur, sealed in sealed containers, is properly infused (this can take even a few months), the finished drink is completely ready for consumption.

Raspberry liqueur is not only an excellent dessert drink, which is highly appreciated by the fair sex, but also the basis for making all kinds of cocktails. The bright red colour and unusually subtle scent of forest berries, boasted by raspberry liqueur, is widely used by culinary experts in the preparation of a variety of sweet dishes. And you can simply pour ice cream, souffle or jelly with raspberry liquor - the perfect topping, not only beautiful, but also very tasty.
