Grand marnier liquor
Grand Marnier orange liqueur was always produced exactly according to the original recipe. This wonderful drink appeared in 1880 with the light hand of the French winemaker Louis-Alexandre Marnier and the stase became the pride and main property of his company. By the way, over the past hundred years with a tail, the fame of Grand Marnier liquor has only increased - today the grandiose invention of the Marnier-Lapostoll family is revered by foodies around the world.
Grand Marnier liqueur has a complex aroma and taste, which is due to the exquisite combination of an elite variety of French cognac along with the essence of a rather rare species of incredibly fragrant bitter orange, which is grown in the Caribbean islands.
In the process of producing high-quality cognac, grapes of special varieties are used, from which wine is obtained, twice distilled in a distillation cube, in order to turn into an extraordinary cognac alcohol with a slight taste of fruits. Such alcohol is aged in oak barrels for at least 3 years, in the process turning into real cognac.
As for the second important component of Grand Marnier liquor, which is born in the Caribbean, the exotic rich aroma of these oranges is completely concentrated in the peel, which is usually removed from the still green fruits. It is thoroughly dried in the tropical sun, so that then in France, after three weeks of infusion on an alcohol basis and further distillation, an exquisite orange essence is obtained.
But the last stage of making Grand Marnier liquor is covered in mystery - only the fact is known that in certain proportions cognac, orange essence and sugar are combined in huge tubs, but the exact recipe of the legendary drink is known only to members of the Marnier-Lapostoll family. As the months pass, with the orange-cognac mixture fully barrel-aged, the Grand Marnier liqueur bottles, with their distinctive wax seal and red ribbon, will travel to all ends of the world.
Regarding the company's modern range, we can say that it includes 2 lines of drinks - Grand Marnier Cordon Rouge liquor and Grand Marnier Cuvee liquor. By the way, the first drink literally means just the Red Ribbon. The drink owes a high status to its majestic packaging: the shape of the designer bottle is represented by a distillation cube, which is decorated with a scarlet ribbon and a wax seal.
Meanwhile, the basis for the Grand Marnier Cuvee liqueur is the more valuable cognac, which has a long aging time. Such an alcoholic drink is characterized by a complex taste with a number of harmoniously combined tones. At the same time, the aroma of such a liqueur is rich in multifaceted shades, and the deep color of the drink always pleases the eye of lovers of elite alcohol.
