Galliano liquor

Galliano liquor...

The famous Galliano liqueur comes from Italy. This is a strong enough drink that insists on herbs, berries and spices growing throughout Italy - not only in the alpine part of it, but also tropical. The strength of the classic Galliano liqueur, which is characterized by a saturated sunny-golden color, is approximately 30%. A distinctive feature of this fragrant drink is its bottle, made in the form of an Italian column, therefore easily recognizable.

Galliano liqueur is considered unique in both its composition and specific aroma. The fact is that in the process of its manufacture, about thirty types of various herbs are used, including anise, ginger, natural vanilla and various citrus plants. In addition, the composition of this drink includes badyan, juniper, lavender and mint. Therefore, Galliano liqueur has a sweet taste with an aniseed-vanilla flavor and citrus tones.

As mentioned above, most of the components are collected in the Alpine region, while others are delivered in their natural form from tropical countries. In the process of distillation, as a rule, alcohol is used, which is made from cereals. It is worth noting that the vanilla flavor distinguishes Galliano liqueur from other similar drinks - for example, Sambuca liqueur or Perno.

Most often, this liquor is used not only as a digestif, but also as one of the ingredients when mixing cocktails. It is noteworthy that the full name of this famous liquor sounds like Galliano L'Autentico, and it first appeared in 1896 in Livorno. The creator of the drink is the Tuscan distiller and brandy manufacturer Arturo Vaccari. The manufacturing process of Galliano liqueur is very complicated, since it includes seven cycles of infusing aromatic raw materials on alcohol and six subsequent distillation cycles.

By the way, for more than one decade, fans of Galliano liquor have been familiar with its sweet 30-degree version, which is characterized by a bright note of vanilla. But just recently, manufacturers inspired by the brand's richest Italian heritage have finished work on creating an even more refined taste of the original liqueur. As a result, two new flavors were released: Galliano Ristretto liqueur using arabica and robusta grains, as well as Galliano Balsamico liqueur with balsamic vinegar.

The strength of drinks also increased - to 4

2. 3 degrees, while the vanilla note became barely detectable. But one thing remains the same - Galliano liquor is still packaged in a tall, slender column-like bottle that shines in bright yellow. This color of Galliano liquor, according to manufacturers, is a reminder of the gold rush of the 90s of the XIX century, when tens of thousands of Italians went to California for happiness and wealth.
