Coffee liqueur

Coffee liqueur...

Coffee liqueur is one of the favorite types of sweet alcoholic beverages, which today are preferred by an increasing number of people. There is nothing strange about this, because coffee liquor essentially performs two functions: it gives a light note of alcohol and at the same time saturates the body with sugars.

Currently, there are a considerable number of varieties of this aromatic drink in the world, but two coffee liqueurs are rightfully considered the most popular - Kahlua liqueur and Sheridan's liqueur. The first is a sweet alcoholic drink with a characteristic aroma and taste of high-quality coffee.

As for the second, this coffee liqueur has a more complex structure, as it consists of two different drinks. Cream-vanilla and chocolate-coffee liqueurs are separated using an unusual bottle shape, which is two symmetrically arranged containers fastened together.

For those who can't always afford such expensive high-end drinks, cooking coffee liqueur at home is especially relevant. This is not difficult, and the price is much more profitable. However, it is clear that the taste of such a drink largely varies with the gastronomic qualities of branded liqueurs.

Thus, the main ingredients for the independent preparation of coffee liqueur are high-quality vodka (ethyl alcohol) and freshly ground coffee. To enrich the aroma of the finished drink, vanilla, orange or lemon juice, fresh or dried citrus zest are often used. In addition, the sweetness and strength of the coffee liqueur can be easily adjusted to its taste using a sugar syrup of various concentrations.

The finished coffee liqueur has an excellent rich taste and a characteristic aroma of freshly ground coffee. This brown drink is quite sweet, so such a liqueur is quite suitable for making a variety of cocktails. The most famous multi-component drinks using coffee liquor are Tall Black Russian, Black Russian, White Russian, Brave Bull, B-52, as well as Mudslide.

In addition, many people like to consume coffee liquor in its pure form, cooling it a little and diluting it with crushed ice. Such a drink is perfectly combined with other types of alcohol: whiskey, cognac, vodka, dry white and red wines or gin. It is possible to add coffee liqueur to ice cream, melted chocolate, milk, citrus juices or, directly, fragrant coffee.

By the way, coffee liquor is one of the necessary components in many dishes. Most often, these are undoubtedly sweet dishes: layered desserts, jelly, soufflé, cheesecakes, casseroles, pastries, sweets and more.
