Grappa grape

Grappa grape...

Grappa grape is the most real Italian wine, only a little peculiar. The fact is that the strength of this drink is about 45 degrees, which makes grappa similar to such types of strong alcohol as whiskey or vodka. And it differs from ordinary wine by the production technology: to obtain it, the remains of grapes are used, that is, cake, which is formed after squeezing juice to make wine.

In this regard, for many years grape grape did not enjoy special success, but after several centuries it became more popular and acquired the status of actually one of the symbols of Italy.

Despite the fact that the name of the drink appeared back in 1876, it was legally assigned to grape grape only in 199

7. It was then that a decree was issued that defined grappa as distillate from special raw materials produced in Italy. Today in the country this drink is produced by about 120 companies.

As with wine, the taste and aroma of grape grape directly depends on the quality and varieties of grape raw materials. Basically, if the drink is made from more than 2 varieties of grapes, they are not indicated on the bottle, and if the grappa contains more than 85 percent of grade 1 push-ups, the manufacturer will definitely mention this on the label.

In general, there are several varieties of grape grape. For example, there is a young white grappa, which is a completely colorless transparent drink that is bottled immediately after distillation. The taste of such a drink is somewhat harsh.

If the grappa is kept in a wooden barrel for at least some time, it is called affinata - it has a softer and more balanced taste. A drink aged from one year is called vecchia or old grappa, and when aged from one and a half years - stravecchia or very old. During the aging of grapes, grape acquires an amber hue and a large strength - up to 45-50 percent of alcohol. In order for the aging process to proceed most harmoniously, special barrels of oak or cherry are used, which grow only in the forests of Limousin.

Grape grape is poured into bottles that resemble perfume bottles, or spherical flasks (in the manner of alchemical ones). It is customary to drink this drink in a chilled form from glasses in the form of a tulip. An exceptionally high-quality drink can be tasted at room temperature to taste such a grappa. Basically, this strong drink is consumed after a dense lunch, but you can combine it with the meals themselves.
