Galliano

Galliano...

It is a well-known fact that Italy is the birthplace of liqueurs. This sunny country has given the world a lot of culinary delights. This applies equally to both simple dishes and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. One of them is Galliano. Herbal Italian liquor is common not only in its country, but throughout the world. It is characterized by a special vanilla taste.

The history of liquor goes back to 18th century Tuscany. It was there that the famous master winemaker Arturo Vaccari came up with a fundamentally new composition of an alcoholic drink and gave him a name in honor of the national hero of Italy Giuseppe Galliano, who distinguished himself during the Italo-Ethiopian war.

Galliano liquor has a very rich composition. It includes more than 30 species of various alpine herbs, as well as berries and spices from all over Italy. As we've already noticed, it has a sweet vanilla flavour with a touch of citrus. Add a bright golden colour to that. All this favorably distinguishes Galliano from any other liqueurs, including those produced in Italy. Bottles of the beverage usually have an unusual shape and are made in the form of a column.

Uses of Galliano

Liquor can have a different strength - from 30 to 42%, so in its pure form it is used quite rarely. Although this is quite real, especially if you add ice to it. Galliano, like any other liqueur, is distinguished by its sweetness. It is quite often used as the basis for some cocktails. We present to your attention some of them: tuttoshi, mulatto daisy, Alexandra, Harvey bol benger and others. In general, the liquor is perfectly combined with campari, vodka, white rum, red vermouth and ground coffee.

Culinary experts use Galliano in their delights. The liqueur is excellent when creating creams, as well as when added to tea or coffee. Historically, it was used as the dessert itself, drinking from small glasses after a hearty meal.

Warnings when using Galliano

Liquor can cause individual intolerance. In this case, you should exclude its use and seek help from specialists.
