Ingredients.
Clean the onions and cut into thin rings.
Peel the carrots and cut into thin slices.
Cut half a lemon thinly, too.
Clean the herring and cut into portions.
Put a little onion in layers in a jar, then carrots, lemon, bay leaf, herring, salt, pepper and sugar.
We repeat the layers to the very top. The last layer is vegetable.
We close the cans with tight lids and put them in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. each day you need to turn the cans several times so that the marinade is distributed evenly over the fish.
